vCenter Menu Change?

Just doing some HOL Labs and noticed some of them show the vCenter Menu as the drop down arrow, and some use the Hamburger Menu (see screenshots)

Out of curiosity, does anyone know when this changed over, and is this a fixed change, or user customisable?

I believe is cam about with 7U3 and as far as I'm aware there is no way to change it, the only customisation is when you click on your user name and choose preferences and there is nothing there related to Menu buttons.

I am using two vCenter version 6.7 and 7.0 and in old version 6.7 the menu is like drop down and in version 7.0 the menu is like the Hamburger menu. So drop down menu is old style menu then vmware changed it's GUI layout to the further versions and you will see Hamburger menu in all new versions.

I think, as above, it came with one of the 7.0 updates, as some of the HOL labs had the early style menu, and some of them the later menu, and they were all V7

 

I wasn't sure if it was an update thing, or a configuration setting as i couldn't find it mentioned in the release notes. Its kind of answered my curiousity though

As far as I know this is changed from the version 7.0 U3, before that It's using old style menu and it's not configurable, it will be there as soon as you update to 7.0 U3.
