vCenter DB backup - stop service?

    Hi

    According to this document regarding VirtualCenter Database Maintenance, it tells me to stop the vcenter service before a database backup.

    (this doc is for VirtualCenter 2.0).

    I run a vCenter 4.0 but haven't found a document for this version, so I assume the procedure is the same, but do I need to stop the "VMware VirtualCenter Server service" before a scheduled backup? If so, how can I do a scheduled job within SQL Server 2005 that will stop the service before the backup?

    Any experience on this?
