We have two identical servers in the inventory, one showing the Health Status, the other not.

Any idea what causes Health Status to show?

disconnect and reconnect the server and it will appear.

This didn't work for me. The Hardware Health column in the Hosts tab still shows 'Not Available', even after the disconnect and connect. The host seems to be working fine otherwise.

    Thanks for any help,

    Doug

The host health status are only available if youre ESX runing the Update2 so please check this first. After upgrading you have to remove the HOST from your already existing cluster. After adding the HOST again the host status comes visible.

Yes, a "Disconnect" and then "Connect" will get that option back. However, if you don't do that, a health related issue WILL still set off alarms, which is a good thing.
