    Is there a way to configure GlusterFS to be used as storage for VMware?

    Not in a supported way (from a VMware perspective) I expect.

    What would be providing the physical capacity?

    Is the storage presented over iSCSI or NFS?

    No, VMware supports:

    • Local attached storage
    • iSCSI
    • FC
    • NFS
    • and local attached via vSAN
