Use SAN Replicated pRDM for Windows Installation

Hello,

Our MSSQL DBA team are interested in using SAN replication to replicate the OS disk of a Windows 2012 R2 installation (C:\) to another site (and vCenter) for DR purposes.

I can't find any documentation online which leads me to the question:

Is this a supported configuration?

Seems a bit hacky to me although they have run a successful POC.

Do you mean that bootable disk for a VM is located on pRDM? If yes - why?
