vSphere Host Client

  • 1.  Updated vsphere client and ESXi host, now get errors

    Did an upgrade to my vsphere client, file name VMware-viclient-all-6.0.0-3016447.exe

    Now I can't view Guest consoles, can't add new Guest OS's (option is greyed out), and I get an error when the Client program starts (see first image)

    Here's the error when I try to view the Guest OS console. I can use Remote Desktop Connection to connect to the Guest OS (Windows Server 2012 R2)

    Here's the version info

    Also upgraded the ESXi server host system to the U1 update using the VMware-VMvisor-Installer-6.0.0.update01-3029758.x86_64.iso

    VMWare Tools seems to never finish installing for the Guest OS.

    What can I do now?

    Client is running on a Windows 7 Pro desktop with 24GB RAM.

    ESXi server is a Dell Poweredge T110-2 server with 32GB RAM

    I ran into the same issue and Re: VMware-viclient-all-6.0.0-3016447.exe broke Console on ESXi 6.0 and ESXi 5.5 hosts fixed it for me.
