  • 1.  Update Manager fails to install

    I'm getting an "internal error occurred in the vsphere client unable to connect to the remote server" when trying to download Update Manager in 5.5.  I manually installed Update Manager but the plug-in fails to contact the VC.  Anyone have any suggestions?

    I also attached a screenshot.  From the vCenter server the update manager extension works fine.  The vCenter server is configured with 2 nics public and private but I can ping both addresses, the private is on the same subnet as the management interfaces of the ESXi host, and public is the server LAN.  The VUM server is configured the same way and that server also can access the update manager extensions.
