Was this ever resolved? My logs are full of the same messages

    Update for property timestamp failed

Host servername.com: a field is null or over-sized.

The errors regarding overized-null entries were resolved by entering the ILO settings in the power managment section of the host configuration.

Error on log file : xpxd-xxxx.log

    Update for property timestamp failed

Check the time zone, time and date on the Vcenter server machine and the DB server.

The Vcenter tries to checkout and insert the timestamp in a register on database, if the time and date are different, the error message is display on the log file, and the insert fail.

I resolve this issue, implementing an NTP Server, and synchronizing with this all servers of the infraestructure ( VCenter + DB + ESX ).

    Hi,

I resolved the same problem setting the Power Management to OFF in the cluster Settings.

I think the problem was due to the power management of the cluster which was set to Manual, but there was nothing defined in the Power Management of each host (IPMI/ILO Setting).
