    Posted Oct 25, 2016 06:16 PM

    Hi all,

I have an ESXi version 6.0.0 build 4510822 that shows me the following error in red, in the middle of the console:

"Unable to restore Resource Pool Settings for hosts/vim/vmvisor/vsanperfsvc it is possible hardware or memory constraints have changed. please verify settings in the vsphere client"

I don't understand this error given that my company doesn't have the license for DRS, that means that we do not have any resource pool created.

The ESXi is running on a Dell PowerEdge R730xd. Also, we have the last version of vsan, with the most recent firmware and drivers updates.

Has anyone seen this error before?

    Any advices?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Just checking if you ever got this resolved? did you switch on DRS and off again to see if that helped?

Hi!, i'm expecting the same problem. I've already opened a case on VMware, but i'm still waiting to the resolution of this.

I have an standard licence, so i don't be able to eneable/disable the DRS feature

I'm sorry the delay of the answer

    Regards,

I have a HP DL380 G8 that has PSOD twice in the past 24 hours ours with the same error. I installed ESXI 6 update 3 yesterday and the error re-appeared today. Any updates on your findings would be much appreciated.

Hi guys, I got the same error messages and created a VMware Support case.

    I got the following response:

    1. Stop the vsanmgmtd service

    2. Edit the /etc/vmware/esx.conf /etc/vmware/esx.conf file and delete the following fields:

    /resourceGroups/root/child[0000]/child[0000]/child[0019]/mem/units = "mb"

    /resourceGroups/root/child[0000]/child[0000]/child[0019]/mem/shares = "0"

    /resourceGroups/root/child[0000]/child[0000]/child[0019]/mem/maximum = "0"

    /resourceGroups/root/child[0000]/child[0000]/child[0019]/mem/minLimit = "unlimited"

    /resourceGroups/root/child[0000]/child[0000]/child[0019]/mem/minimum = "0"

    /resourceGroups/root/child[0000]/child[0000]/child[0019]/name = "vsanperfsvc"

    3. Start the vsanmgmtd service and reboot the host.
