Dear vmware-Team,
I think that I've found a mistake in your dependencies of the vmware-tools packages for Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.

the tools associated with vmware-open-vm-tools.
In the line depends, there is also the virtual kernel.
So lets take a look at the packages for the 2.6.32.24

Description:
This package provides the kernel modules for the 2.6.32-24-server kernel to enable
the tools associated with vmware-open-vm-tools.
There is only the non virtual server kernel. So my virtual machines are making trouble, because they would downgrade oder change the kernel from -virtual to server.
I think the line should be:
--> Depends: linux-image-2.6.32-24-server | linux-image-2.6.32-24-virtual
I hope you understand what I mean, and probably you can fix this problem very soon.
Greeting Tobias
