  • 1.  Stretched-cluster with two active directory domains

A customer wants to implement a stretched cluster on two sites. Their current setup is that the first site has an active directory domain, and the second site has a different AD domain. There is a two way trust between those AD domains. They are asking if this is a possible configuration or will this break the VSAN stretched cluster.

Can an two AD domains be added as identity sources? Would there be any foreseeable problem with this if ti is possible?

    Thank you.

As far as vSAN goes, VMs running on top of vSphere/vSAN in a Stretched Cluster configuration aren't going to care. So no issue there. Remember though, that this will be treated as a single vSphere cluster, not multiple clusters.

As far as multiple authentication sources, I believe vCenter will allow that.
