Static Ip Address

I would like to define a static address on VMs.

But, I don't find a cmdlet to do that.

You don't need static IP, just do DHCP then reserve those IP's for the VM's, that is the same thing.

Did you look at the Set-VMGuestNetworkInterface cmdlet ?

But be aware that there are some limitations for that cmdlet.

My tool need to give a static address to VM, because most of time my VM are servers.

Yes, I did a look to that cmdlet, but the problem is, to security reasons, the Guest User is disable.

Does this mean you don't have any administrative account to access that guest ?

Since the IP settings need to be done from within the guest OS, you will need to have some kind of access to the OS.

An alternative is to use WMI calls, but again that needs an account to connect to the guest OS.
