    Hey.
    I am using ESXI 7.01
The Service for SSH is running when I start. Then after schort time, it is stopped. Even if I set it to start with the host.
has anyboday an idea how to keep SSH service running all the time?

You want to check the value of the UserVars.ESXiShellInteractiveTimeOut advanced setting on your host.

If you want to remove the timeout completely, set it to 0.

    Doc here.

Thanks a lot for this tip.
This I did already. It is set to "0".
I am using WinSCP to transfer files over SSH protocoll, and there is no idle time to activate any timeout. system is still stopping the service and WinSCP keeps trying to reconnect all the time, but without success, because the service is stopped. If I start the service manualy again, WinSCP is continuing the file transfer.

Sorry I misread your initial post, it's actually the SSH service turning off.

Then it's UserVars.ESXiShellTimeOut you want to set to 0.

This setting will stop the service after x seconds.

    Hi,
This value was set to 900, means 15 minutes. I think that was the problem.
I set it to "0" and will test now.

    Thanks
