I have just noticed that in the VSphere 4 Snapshot manager there is an old backup exec snapshot.

    the structure looks as follows

    ServerName

         - SYMC-FULL 14-04-2012 23:01

              --You Are Here

How do I consolidate everything without losing data?

This is in VMware ESXi 4.1.0

Sorry it's such a simple question but this older version does not have the "consolidate" option that version 5 has (which I'm used to.)

    -Thanks.

Just click the "Delete All" button to commit the current state of the virtual machine and delete this snapshot.

As mentioned by vmroyale clicking on delete All would commit the snapshot to the base disk..
