  • 1.  Run native ESXi and VSAN on Nutanix hardware?

    Posted 18 days ago

I am curious has anyone run native ESXi and VSAN on Nutanix hardware(NX-8150-G10) and G9.

I am not interested in a supported solution, just a solution where we can re-use a Nutanix cluster we are no longer using for testing.

I believe the hardware is just an x86-64 based server with NVMe drives.  I can't imagine it wouldn't work, as long as there are drivers for the specific hardware.

I built a test vSAN cluster on a trio of older Intel NUC boxes with USB3 5GB NICs for storage and and external drive connected via USB3 for a boot device, so building on unsupported hardware is always possible.

    Hello

As per below VMware Hardware Compatibility Guide, your mentioned Nutanix hardware is supported for ESXi versions. Please find the reference article for your comparisons
