  • 1.  Restore cluster vSAN to new vCenter can or can not ?

    Hello 

    I have question :

    Current infra : 03 node vSAN with ESXi version 6.7 managed by vCenter 6.7

    Issue : vCenter failed and can not restore ( have no anything backup of vCenter)

    Now : Deploy new vCenter version 7.0. Enter mainternance mode of vSAN cluster and re-register to new vCenter.

    Stuck : After shutdown all vm on vSAN cluster, I can not find procedure for gracefull shutdown vSAN cluster. I afraid vSAN cluster have corroupt if I enter maintenance node to 3 nodes same time.

     

    Can any one help me clearly about gracefull shutdown vSAN cluster, can I using CLI when no longer vCenter ?

    Yes, you can use the CLI. The process is actually documented here, including details for when the old vCenter is not available: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2151610
