What negative effects would happen if we powered on a replicated VM within the same network, but from a different location?

Unless you give the VM a new (unique) IP address/new network MAC address, you will see MAC address/IP address flapping...

Other than that, unless the machine is a specific. end point (part of a database cluster etc) you should be ok...

I assume you are using the recover option in the replication GUI to stop replication and make a usable VM?

I also assume you understand that that option will stop active replication.
