  • 1.  remove a VM from HA

    Hello,

    How can I make a machine not participate in HA?  Running ESXi 5.0, vCenter, cluster with two hosts, blah blah etc etc.

    You mean you don't want HA restart a vm in case of a failure? You can set the "restart priority" of that vm to "disabled" in the cluster edit UI.

    Yes, very good, thats exactly what I was looking for, and I thank you.  Its the VDR server.

    Hello and Welcome to the Forums!

    You can accomplish this be by highlighting the cluster in question, edit settings--vSphere HA--virtual machine options.  Change the parameters to disabled.
