Remote desktop connection to Virtual server?

1. I am assuming that a users has to have an account on the VMware server to be able to remote access into a virtual server??

No, this is solely a Windows OS thing.

You setup groups under remote settings of the guest. If a user is a member of the local administrators group they have RDP access by default.

If I misunderstood your question, can you elaborate a bit?

The user has admin and remote desktop rights on the virtual server, but when I try to remote desktop into that virtual with their account I get the following error "user account not authorized for remote login"?

Where/how do I give them remote login rights for that single virtual server?

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click System.

2. Click the Remote tab, click to select the Allow users to connect remotely to your computer check box, and then click OK.

What is your Guest OS?

Window Server 2008, "allow connections" via remote desktop is allowed (any version)

Was trying to using the domain login instead of the individual server user account! Duh!

Sometimes you just miss the obvious!
