  • 1.  remote datastore free space error

    I have a Converter (last version) on windows, and have a local workstation image and want to convert into remote ESX 4.

    But sometimes, VMware converter displays a wrong remote datastore free disc space, and I can not convert.

    Someone has seen this problem ?

    Any solution ?

    Could you explain when this happens? How you understand that free space provided by the Converter is wrong? How you convert in such cases?

    What's the size of the local disk you want to convert? In case it's larger than 256GB you may need to check the block size of the target VMFS datastore!?

    The workstation vm is abot 30-40 GB, and in destination I had 300 GB free, but only 3 free GB was displayed, so no conversion took place.

    All went fixed after a server reboot.
