GM! When I delete physical RDM from VM, I turn on option "Delete from datastore" then I connect this RDM to another VM (newly created), everything is ok, it works. Nevertheless, when I come back to origin datastore, I see that there are files like .vmdk and *-rdmp.vmdk existing. Should the box "Delete from datastore" swipe these files?

I read that these files could be manually deleted, but for these purposes I need to create sctipt and double-check if it is correctly works. At the same time this is a prod system and I cannot make such huge mistake like deleting actual and risky RDMPs

    P.S. I use vSphere 6.7

From my understanding, when you delete a VM with a RDM, it will delete the header and descriptor VMDK files, but not modify the folder\LUN where the files were stored. So, the folders on the LUN itself needs to be deleted.
