does ghettoVCB have the ability to do block level backups of just the changed data? We have some huge databases (TBs in size) that have only a few MB change...I'd like to backup only the changed data if I could. (trying to avoid the old diff/full thing in SQL..the fulls take 4 days)

Also, I noticed that VCB in general has been replaced by VDR...is there a ghetto way to use VDR?

No, ghettoVCB leverages vmkfstools to clone a given VMDK and that does not support any type of CBT (Change Block Tracking) and no there is no ghettoVDR

If you're looking for CBT support, you will need to look into paid solutions such as VMware vDR, Veeam Backup & Replication, PHD, etc.
