    Hi All,

    [1]

Will PowerCLI v4.1.1 work with vSphere 5?

    [2]

Will PowerCLI v5 be released?  If so when?  If not, why not?

PowerCLI v5 will probably be released together with vSphere v5. When? VMware told us it would be in Q3. So this or next month. My personal guess is that it might be released during VMworld 2011 in Las Vegas. If PowerCLI v5 is released I would use it against vSphere v5. Otherwise you can't use all the vSphere v5 new features from PowerCLI.

    Regards, Robert

    marc045,

Some cmdlets in PowerCLI 4.11 will be the same and will work with vSphere 5.0 but it is recommended you upgrade to the latest version of PowerCLI once vSphere 5.0 has been released, you will see a coresponding version once vSphere 5.0 has been released.

VMware have not given a release date as yet for 5.0
