I am having trouble finding a patch to download.
Apparently a patch for ESXi 6.5 came out on March 9th as described here:
VMware ESXi 6.5, Patch ESXi-6.5.0-20170304001-standard (2148987) | VMware KB
But when I go to download the patch the VMware download pages does not show any patches for 6.5
Our company bought the ESXi Essentials package.
Does it not come with the ability to download these patches?

it seems to be an issue with the download page. I cannot see any of the released v6.5 patches either.
If you don't need the patch right now, I'd suggest you check the site again tomorrow.
