New Forum format?

Did they change the format of the forums or is it just me?

Hello Mark,

Last weekend the forum software was upgraded to Jive 5, so yes there certainly are changes.

As with change there's always a risk of things changing unintentionally, I have to ask:

Is there a specific problem you are having?

If so then please tell as I might be able to draw the attention of the people who "have the power" to look into it.

No major issues was just trying to adjust to the new format.

I am getting email traffic from threads I don't think I have subscribed to in this forum.  So, not sure what is going on there. I usually only subscribe to posts that I have posted in.

For instance, I just got Luc's reply on this thread, http://communities.vmware.com/message/2237018#2237018, but I am not subscribed to it.

Can't honestly say that I find the new layout an improvement.

But that's probably me still being used to the old layout :smileygrin:

Agreed Luc, having a hard time with it myself, but it isn't terrible.  I also see they removed the amount of posts, so now they can't see how much time you spend on here answering everyone's questions lol

You can just open your own profile and see them :smileywink: :smileydevil:

I can see all my posts under my profile, but I can't seem to find the total number saying "x number of posts", like we used to see before the upgrade.

Or am I missing something ?

yeah kinda lost with this this new layout. I was thinking I was having html loading issues with my chrome and F5 to reload the page again

I would also like to make a suggestion if the forum guys read this that it would be nice to have the amount of posts in a thread on the left instead of after the like etc
