yeah my reply was also for vSphere 8. In the guest OS of vSphere VMs you can remove devices by default.

Windows VM? Then probably someone clicked on "eject ethernet adapter" in the guest OS.
You can prevent this with "New-AdvancedSetting -Entity $VM -Name devices.hotplug -Value $false -Type VM"

Hello Everyone
One VM without any changes (by Users) has missed Network Adapter and removed from Edit Settings and any log doesn't exist.
After adding a new Network Adapter, the VM continued to work without problem.
Does everyone one face this situation? What is the issue?
