  • 1.  Netapp Virtual Storage Console discovery issue

Has anyone used the netapp virtual storage console for vcentre.  We use version 4.1 on our vpshere 4.0 environment.  It works fine but when it does an automatic netapp host discovery it uses my login details.  I want to change this to use a standard login but dont know where on the console.  I tried using https://localhost:8143/register, but it comes back with forbidden.

    Any ideas thanks

You should be able to set the credentials on the Host Configuration section when you access the plugin from the vCenter Client.   You just have to make sure the new account has the correct permissions on each of your controllers.  Please refer to the VSC Admin Guide:

    Hi..

Be aware that the register URL is case sensitive...

    From this VMware KB: http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2001703

The NetApp Virtual Storage Console credentials can be updated by accessing this URL on the vCenter Server:
    https://localhost:8143/Register.html
    Caution: Register.html is case sensitive.
