Nested NSX with Hardware VTEP

Hi,

This is may be a little off an unusual request but I am looking to setup a lab environment with NSX and as part of the setup I would like to try hardware VTEP L2 capabilities with NSX.

In a nested setup would I be able to tested hardware VTEP?

You'll need:

  . to turn on promiscuous mode on the vCenter port group where is connected the ToR interface-VLAN (since the VM-ToR will send packets from other sce-mac@ than its mac@)

  . to have the ToR vendors bits in VM form factor with HW VTEP support)

After that, you're good to go :smileyhappy:

Note: Obviously don't test perf since you'll have "promiscuous mode" enabled.
