multiple mysql instances

Hi All

I am running multiple mysql instance on the same server on diff ports, hyperic agent fails to connect to mysql proces, on the configuration menu I have speficied the needed connection parameters but fails with trying to find the CPU process per mysql instace

The configuration has not been set for this resource due to : Invalid configuration: Error retrieving value: Failed to invoke getProcCpu[State.Name.eq=mysqld]: Query matched multiple processes (2): State.Name.eq=mysqld

Any ideas to make this working ?

I'm sure you mean well, but stop putting keywords in your response if you are not answering the question!!! Now when we search the forums we get tons of references to these posts where there is no answer! How about putting a link and just skipping the keywords?

Very good point! By all means, it is important for everyone who finds an answer - even if later in another post to cross reference it, and to mark the question as answered when done (awarding points before marking answered is also appreciated when appropriate!).

However, while I appreciate you are frustrated in finding the answer, it is definitely not appropriate to "yell" at other forum members publically. In this case - you "yelling" at Morgan is not very helpful - you can easily see he's got the most points, this is mostly because he's the chief architect of the product and is the most likely person to help you if you are really stuck with something new. That said, you could help him by doing the proper research and posting the relevant fixes yourself. It would help everybody from yourself, to others to Morgan himself. Win-win all around.

Instead, appeal to the wider audience to improve our general participation, and start by leading with an example.
