  • 1.  Monitor host and virtual machines using Opsview and ESX snmp?

    Posted Jul 02, 2009 05:41 PM

I am looking to graph the esx cpu, mem, disk and networking in VI3 environment using the esx snmp and some third party utility. Anyone used or has quick reference configuration of the esx snmp and opsview? Is it also possible to graph the virtual machines perf using the esx snmp? Are there any special vmware MIBS for virtual machines?

I am wondering how is this different than using esxtop in batch mode to dump all esx statistics to a .csv file and then using a windows Perfmon tool to look at the graphs? Thanks,
