  • 1.  Mixture of Licenses Question

    Is it possible to have a mixutre of vSphere4 Enterprise and vSphere4 Enterpise Plus licenses in the environment?

    We are looking to upgrade our existing licenses using the current promotion and under one of the scenarios will end up with some licenses in the production environment not upgraded all at once.

    Just curious how the environment will function with two different license levels in it.

    Hi,

    yep is possible to have different type of licenses, in license management you have the ability, for every asset(servers) to assign a product license code.

    In this way you allocate processor licenses from the sets of Enterprise edition or Enterprise Plus.

    It is possible, you just install two serial numbers and manually assign each server what serial number to use.
