  • 1.  Missing FQDN after VMWare tools upgrade

    When we upgrade VMware tools using UpdateManager on our Windows 2008 and 2008R2 we are missing FQDN namn after reboot

    All IPsetting are ok, server are respondning and workning but some CorporateSoftware that are using FQDN namn to contact server dosn't respond to that. Have to reboot a 2'nd time to solve the issue

    Anyone stuck on the same problem

    I have upgraded several Win2008 R2 installs both manually and using update manager...havn't seen this issue at all!

    we have 4 different cluster running on ESXi5 ~ 800 vm's

    30-40% have this issue when upgrading

    Windows 2003 have no issue at all
