I'm buy a new server that only comes with solid state disks, is a 32GB disk big enough for the installation of vSphere.

The VM's will be held on an iSCSI san.

    Thanks

    Tim

32GB is easily enough. Take a look at the ESX and vCenter Installation guide - page 61 for partition information - which can be found here

    Thanks,

I believe the minimum size of the Service Console VMDK (which is now stored on a VMFS partition) is something less than 10GB. Maybe 8GB or so. I think you'll be fine with 32GB SSD for the installation of ESX.

esxconsole.vmdk is about 8GB so you are ok with 32GB. 15Gb is sufficient :smileywink:
