  • 1.  LUN storage restriction

    Hi,

    I have 3-4 server running VMWARE 5.0.x ad 5.1.x and suffer on the maximum storage limit on a LUN (2TB).

    I am going to get a new R730 server which equipped with 4 x 2TB running RAID-5 (so free space might have up to 6TB). Could you please advise the updated VMWare vSpare 5.5x can utilize all the 6TGB disk space within one LUN ?

    Hi,

    yes vSphere 5.5 supports VMFS volumes up to 64TB

    HI,

    By upgrading your host version to 5.5 you can utilize the 6TB of space ( 5.5 supports upto 64TB )
