  • 1.  LUN does not get reclaimed

    A LUN was created by our Storage Team and they wanted to reclaim the storage but VMware would not let me disable both HBAs.  Instead I got this error:

    Call "HostStorageSystem.DisableMultiplePath" for object "storageSystem-241" Operation failed, diagnostics report:  Unable to change path state, the path is marked as 'busy' by the VMkernel.

    The error on the Hitachi storage side is "The LDEV is being used by the host, or an error occurred in the SVP Procedure."

    Is there a datastore on that LUN?

    Is it an RDM attached to a vm?
