Login via web browser

I just installed ESXi 6.7.   I set the root password and at the console it works.   When I go to the web address for the ESXi machine and try to login it tells me that the username and password is wrong.  What username and password should I be using because the one I use on the console does not work on the web page.

The credential is same. check the keyboard layout.

The keyboard layout is US default.   It's not taking what I have. I tried a new keyboard and what I had before works at the console but not when trying to connect via IP in web browser.

Enter the password in the user name field in the DCUI and in the web GUI to see if both are the same (to rule out keyboard mapping issues).

I got it going.  I just reset it to factory and left the password alone.   I then logged into the web and then changed the password and that worked.

Try restarting the mangament services form the DCUI interface or just reboot the ESXI if it is test.
