    I've one question for the users of this comunity, I hope that you can help me. I need to Log the access to my Virtual center using Vi Client. Can I enable log access??

    With VI Client > FILE > EXPORT > EXPORT DIAGNOSTIC DATA

    HI¡¡ thanks for yout answer but.. this Txt File logs shows only the activity from the VI client but I need log for all the accesses to the VCenter Server from any location. Can we collect it???

    Hi¡¡ I tried to log into VCenter server from another PC and in the logs where you say are not collected any date as IP or hostname from this machine where was downloaded and used the VIclient.

    Thanks a lot for your Help but still can't find were is located the log of login access and activity to the VCenter server from everywere machine

    you can find the curent users who are logged in by going to Administration | sessions

    Admninstration | System Logs to see various other VC related logs.

    or you can check in documents and settings

    I know whatyou are looking for

    In your VC goto Events Tab on the top and then click on a down arrow next to "Description,Type, Target...Select user from that

    and then you can see any user activity who loggin @what time and logeed out @what time etc.

    You can alos put any particular user name in blank space if you want omonitor particular user..thats feasible too

    Is there a way for a log reader to read a log of all VC activity? Such as user creates a VM, user modifies VM, user VMotions a VM? Its all there in individual VM logs in VC, but is there a readable file with all of these?
