That is a great question. You can put multiple kits in the shopping cart at store.vmware.com, which leads me to conclusion that indeed you can.

However each kit is considered a separate product, so you'll end up with 10 vCenters to manage 30 hosts.

Oddly, a customer of mine was trying to buy a second Ess+ kit a few years ago and was declined. They needed two tax registration numbers to buy two kits. However I cannot seem to find this limitation anymore.

Thank you, Even I was thinking in the same line.

One of my friend told me that, there is a restriction on the number of licences a company can buy.

Asked him to guide me to the page or link which explain it.

I googled and couldn't find any. That's why asking here.

Can we expect a reply from VMWare team on this. They are the best people to answer it.

IMO: I personally believe having restrictions like that, (if any), will limit the growth of VMWare in future(considering the nutanix/many open source cloud stack)

I have sent this question to my local aggregator. I'll keep you posted :-) I know of at least one other company that is planning to buy a second kit so it would be great to clarify this.

OK, it's official. There is no limit on number of essential / essential plus kits per company.

There used to be one in the past. Not anymore.

I don't think that there is any limit here.

However you will have two separate vcenter servers to manage with their own hosts.

As well it's not possible to build enhanced linked mode between two vcenter essentials.
