license free version esxi 7 to Paid License

  • 1.  license free version esxi 7 to Paid License

    i downgraded the license from rel 8 to 7 from the portal and i generated a new license and trying to insert it but i get an error .
    "Please provide a valid license key"

    but the license is the one vmware gave me after the downgrade

    what am I doing wrong ?
