iSCSI issue cause host to not respond

VMware ESXi, 6.7 on Lenovo ThinkSystem SR665 host.

vCenter loses connection to host, and I cannot login to the host UI (host does not respond). Login forms is displayed, but gives does not respond error when logging in.

I have a SAN/DAS as main storage, and a iSCSI datastore (hosted on a physical Windows server) used for some inactive/not running VMs.

When this issue happens, I reboot the iSCSI datastore and VMs reconnect and hosts reconnects in vCenter.

All VMs still running as there is no issues with the main storage.

So something cause the whole ESXi host to become responsive when there is some kind of issue with the iSCSI storage.

Can this be avoided, so iSCSI issues does not interrupt normal operation?
