Our ESXi hosts connect to VNX SAN. The ports at switches are configured for access port type, and ESXI hosts use vmk1 and vmk2 to connect the SAN storage.
We will get a new SAN storage, which will be in different VLANs.
We do not have a spare nic port at ESXi hosts to connect the new san with a separate connection. In this case, we have to use the same NIC ports used for VNX for the new storage.
What is the recommended practice to connect? Can we trunk the physical ports for both VNX and new SAN and use one nic for both storage?
