Is PowerCLI 9.x compatible with (or useful for) vCenter 8 installations?

My company is still using vSphere 8. We're still almost a year away from migrating to VCF 9.

We use PowerCLI 13.3 for many automated tasks, including workflows inside Aria Automation 8.18.

Should we upgrade to PowerCLI 9? Is it capable of managing vSphere 8 infrastructure? Are the new features useful if we're not yet on VCF 9? Could we build a custom environment for PowerCLI 9 in Aria Automation Orchestrator?

In general, the latest version of VCF PowerCLI supports all vSphere versions that are supported at the time of release. Currently VCF PowerCLI 9.1 supports vSphere 8.0, 9.0 and 9.1.
