After upgrading firmware on my MD3000i array to generation 2, fiddling with network options, and rebooting ESX hosts, I lost both VMFS stores on the array. I was referred to this KB article:
http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=9453805&sliceId=1
...and it worked. I enabled resignaturing, got the stores back, renamed them, and re-registered all the guests, and all was fine - except for one thing. Performance records for the guests have been wiped clean, as they are effectively new VMs (even though I told VI to keep the old UUIDs when booting them). I have daily backups of VIM_VCDB database going back a month or so. Is there any way to merge recorded performance data from old VMs into new ones?
