    Hello.

I have just installed a new vCenter 8.0.
But, vCenter Details in Summary of vCenter Client is very slow.
It takes about 1 to 2 minutes before it appears.
There are no errors, just slow until it appears.
This is clearly an event that cannot be ignored.
Could you tell me about the case and how to resolve the problem?

    Installation Version
    vCenter Version 8.0.3 (Build: 24322831)

I have searched for past cases, and the event is similar to the following.

This occurred with a new install, not an update, but very similar.
    Thanks.

Have you tried the solutions provided there? It seems the issue is related to the plugin\widget requesting access to the internet. A similar problem was resolved by either providing the vCenter with internet access or, for air-gapped installations, by entering an invalid URL in the VAMI Update URL field of the vCenter.

    Thanks for the reply.
No, I have not tried the solution yet.
I am having trouble with a specific action plan due to my limited knowledge of vCenter.
Since I have performed an airgap install, I think we should perform the latter action, but I am unsure of the procedure.
What exactly is an invalid URL and what value should I enter?
Also, what settings do I need to make to provide Internet access to vCenter?

did you check the monitoring of the VCSA new appliance in order to veryfy if the CPU usage is high or not? If not I agree with @patatr

    Thanks for the reply.
I installed with Tiny deployment size,
I checked VAMI  Monitor and there was no problem with CPU usage, which was around 10%.
I am concerned about the high memory usage, but I don't think it is related to this issue.
I having trouble finding a concrete action plan to resolve the issue.

vcenter server management -> update -> settings -> specify url and set any url, even www.cnn.com, save

that should fire an error and fix te problem

    Thanks for the reply.
I changed the settings and got the following error.
"Network failure.Check the network setings and try again."

By the way, if I want to keep the default settings here, do I need to be connected to the Internet in order to resolve the issue?

well, it's strange... could you configure a proxy for that?

My experience with vCenter ever since 6.0 is that the recommendations are always undersized.  I would login to the admin interface and look at the statistics but odds are you will need to double everything after shutting it down. In order to do so, you will need remote access to the ESXi host before you power off the vCenter appliance.  Make sure you have a full backup before proceeding.  Add more CPUs, more memory, and more disk space.

Disk space does not automatically expand on the appliance so you will need to follow this KB article after you have expanded the disk.
