I just noticed a strange phenomenon.  I have a Windows 11 Professional ARM install on Apple Silicon.  The OS is set to Windows 11 64 Arm (The only Windows choice).  In first screenshot you can see VM powered off and UI says correctly the OS type.  After booting the VM and once what I believe are the tools starting up the OS changes stating it is 32 bit which is incorrect.  It's absolutely a 64-Bit ARM build.  This does not cause any problems but found it interesting.

I've noticed this too and it's definitely a bug in VMware Tools for ARM. It's been around for a few VMware Tools releases.. The tools are incorrectly reporting the Windows "bit-ness" back to Fusion. Although it's gotten the build number and the edition right.

It's annoying but harmless. But attention to detail does count -- so can someone from Broadcom log a bug report for VMware Tools so that this gets fixed?
