  • 1.  Hyperic HQ E or OpenSource Edition, Glassfish Cluster and MySQL?

    Hello to all,

    I wan't to implement a monitor system with alert sysadmins with SMS text to mobilephones and some alerts two some people for example HTTP alerts to http group/people and MySQL alerts to MySQL departament. I read about Hyperic but i don't know if it's possible to do this with opensource edition.

    I run a Glassfish Cluster and i don't know how i can monitor all nodes if i deploy the Hyperic agent on all servers.

    And another questión how i can use two Hyperic Servers for failover. For example if Hyperic fails i never get SMS alerts!.

    Well if hyperic fails, yes you never get SMS alert but if you have another hyperic how monitor your hyperic I think your problem will e resolved.

    That should work. A Glassfish plugin is available. Look for the available metrics and compare with your requirements:

    Failover is an Enterprise feature.

    Who says that Hyperic fails ;-) ?

    You are right, this is a problem and probably only failover functionality can solve this problem.

    BTW: You can only send SMS by a Mail - SMS gateway with HQ.

    I don't find the SMS doc , where i find it?

    I try to contact with Hyperic sales for know the price about Hyperic HQ Enterprise and I NEVER get any response from they.. Only You need to wait about 2-3 days.. (I'm waiting 2 weeks and I send 10 e-mails with 3 mail accounts from differents domains). Someone know how i can contact with they?

    What adress did you try ? sales@hyperic.com ?
    Could you please try so send one to sales@springsource.com ?
