How to track CPU L3 cache misses in vSphere?

  • 1.  How to track CPU L3 cache misses in vSphere?

    Have AMD and Intel hosts in our environment and are noticing difference in perf for some apps between the 2 platforms.   Thinking it has to do with their CPU cache differences.    I have looked at vmkperf and esxtop and am unable to find any metrics that show L3 cache missues.

    Any suggestions?
