  • 1.  How to move VC vm from one host to a cluster in Vsphere?

    I have my VC running on a ESX 4 and would like to move it to an ESX 4 cluster. That cluster has my DV switch defined. Both target and source host can see the same storage and network but the source does not have DVSwitch configured b/c of licensing. Any tips? Do i have to remove from inventory?

    my plan is to:

    down the vc vm.

    migrate him over to new cluster.

    change the network to new dvswitch (same vlan)

    power up vc.

    Does this sound right?

    If the PG name is same, you should be able to migrate. For more information check the below link
