  • 1.  How to Find the Disk Brand and Size on ESXi

    Posted Oct 27, 2022 01:44 PM

    Hello,

I have a failing disk on my ESXi and I would like to know the brand, size and the RAID of all disks to see if I can know which one is failing.

I do not want to restart the server to use the RAID utility, so I was wondering if there is a way to know this from the PowerCLI console or by SSH directly into the ESXi host.

    Thanks.

the easiest way to do this via ILO or iDRAC.

other options via ssh with the command storcli.

    Hello,

My iDrac is v6 so it doesn't give me much info about the disks or the RAID.

That's why I wanted to see if I can find that info directly on the ESXi.

If I run the commands on the link I got info of the RAID but no the disks itself nor I get info on what disks are on which RAID.

Is there a way I can know this over the console?

    Thanks.
