  • 1.  Host Profile - Set Power Management value with Answer file

    Posted Jun 26, 2012 01:41 PM

    Hi,

In my way to have a very nice and fast way to configure my ESXi host, I'm defining host profile.

At the moment, all is set except the Power Management value (Username, BMC IP and BMC Mac).

Does anyone got an idea why those values are not defined in the host profile ?

    Regards

I could be wrong but, can you just create a profile based on existing host thus retaining the DPM values?

There is also a way to script the DPM config

I do not think DPM settings are included as part of the Host Profile or Answer File.

Not sure why, but it doesn't look like they are.

It also does not appear that applying a host profile overwrites already configured DPM settings.
